The Huffington Post just put up an article about classic food commercials from TV and that inspired me to find a couple that I really loved and still remember!
This first one is a food that I actually ate a LOT of and still think of fondly to this day — Oatmeal Swirlers. It’s not available anymore, but man did I think this was delicious when I was a kid. I’m sure the flavor packets were full of high fructose corn syrup and artificial flavorings, but hey, it’s not a kid’s job to think about those things! I would do my best not to mix it in because I loved the taste of the syrup!
And does anyone remember those Oscar Mayer commercials? I seem to remember the bologna ones the most because of the song. Here’s an oldie but a goodie:
And what 80′s commercial compilation would be complete without an old-school McDonald’s commercial? Here is one of the oldies from when I was a kid, Hamburglar and all!
And last but certainly not least: So what that it’s neither a food commercial nor from the 80′s? It is one of the most valuable videos of all time on YouTube, it’s the Peanut Butter Jelly Time video. So enjoy — here is 10 hours of it, no less!
